Zamboanga del Norte, has always been one of my dream destinations since childhood. This province is born out of history, enriched by Subanen, ang strengthened by Rizal. Beyond its historical significance, the province is known for beaches that resemble paradise. Yet, beyond these popular attractions, Zamboanga del Norte hides countless gems waiting to be discovered. On my second visit, I made sure not to miss one of its most underrated wonders – Situbo Falls.

Situbo Falls (Tampilisan)

Situbo Falls is located in Barangay Situbo, in the municipality of Tampilisan. Standing at nearly 100 meters high, it is considered the tallest and largest waterfall in Zamboanga del Norte. The water cascades gently, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature. The surrounding streams are shallow and child-friendly, making the area ideal for families.

Dakak Beach Resort (Dapitan)

A luxurious beach resort in Dapitan City, set beside the sea and flanked by mountains. It offers pristine beaches, water sports, themed feasts, and accommodations ranging from suites to private bungalows, making it a perfect getaway for relaxation and adventure.

Rizal Shrine (Dapitan)

This is a historical landmark where Dr. Jose Rizal Jr, the Philippine National Hero, lived during his exile. To date, some of his dwellings are preserved and a museum is built for him.
